Where Has My Ceiling Gone?

The most important reason why we don’t achieve in the life we want, is quite simple because we do not believe that we can because we think that they are out of reach.

Chapter 1 – A Crushing Ceiling

This book is about two twin brothers that were born into a poor and humble family. They didn’t have good home to stay, there were no electricity or running water in the settlement. Toilets were simply holes in the ground, situated on the outskirts and shared by thousands of dwellers.

One twin was named Chuck and another was Chip. The twin’s schooling was limited. At the age of 14, when they completed their Std. 6, their father has insisted that it was time for the boys to help him earn a living. Chuck has been disappointed as he enjoyed studying and had hoped to one day become a teacher. But he had understood that his parents could no longer afford to educate them and needed their help to survive.

So the twins has sacrificed their education to help their father. Everyday they would wake up at the crack of dawn and make their way down to the local rubbish dumps. There they would all sift through the garbage in the hope of finding reusable items for resale to people from the settlement and to second hand stores.
